Elle magazine has a special club called ClubElle in charge of bringing readers to their favorite brands through different events which are always fun!
The first event of 2013 was with Coach to present its new Spring 2013 collection called "Legacy"

We arrived at the shopping center Antara Hall in Polanco for a brunch in the boutique of the Brand,
fresh juice, fruit and delicious fig and brie paninis made everyone very happy!
After the crew told us a little about the brand and the history of this collection, we had to put together in teams a look with brand accessories!

Legacy" is the name of these amazing new collection from the American brand, which had its beginnings in a loft in the 40s in New York.
It all started with a group of craftsmen who made men´s accessories kits (sets of manicure .. etc..), but everything changed in the 60s as Bonnie Cashin entered to the Brand and started ussing new modern silhouettes focused on functionality and details inspired by different things like the tassels and the snap which were inspire by her convertible.

This collection brings the best of leather "anti-scratch" which as the name implies, does not scratch and is equally easier limpiar.También perforated leather with different colors underneath all this for quality and modernity.

It was fun and I love that ELLE is always spoiling us with wonderful events.
The team is very friendly and always collaborating so we have positive experiences!
Thanks Elle mag, I´m looking forward to attend more events with ClubELLE!

5:00 AM Prueba 1 Comments

The designer presented his collection called ALIVE at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York.
Inspired by the different ethnic groups seen in Broo klynsWilliamsburg neighborhood, Orthodox Judaism was the star of this collection.
This community follows certain rules in their dress but Ricaro Seco did an outstanding job to make it look more modern, not only for them but for any fashionista who wants to wear his clothes.
The predominant colors in this collection were white, black, brown and emerald green that comes with a lot of strength this year.

Big things await this amazing and talented designer who is  known not only in Mexico but also in the United States and soon in the  whole world.
I wish him success and continue to grow in his career

Avocados are rich in vitamin E.
By doing this recipe frequently, you'll help reduce eye wrinkles and give more shine to this area.

You need:
- avocado tablespoon

Mix the ingredients with a spoon.
To apply, take a small amount with your index finger and give a massage on the eye area until completely absorbed.
Keep the container in the refrigerator.

Avoid grey elbows
To avoid the horrible gray elbows, exfoliates the skin with an old toothbrush. Then, heat a little olive oil or almond oil and put it into two small bowls. Soak your elbows for 10 minutes. Dry them and apply moisturizer.

Oscar de la Renta at GALA MODA NEXTEL 2013

3:00 AM Prueba 0 Comments

I would call it one of the best events of the year! Hopefully there are more like these !
The appointment was at the Vizcainas College.
On our arrival we went through the red carpet and then were greeted with a glass of champagne.
The place looked spectacular with a runway surrounding the central fountain and the designers table.
Patio columns were full of roses rows descending like vine.

The place looked like inspired on a fairytale       The table setting was also beautiful
With more tan 50 years as a designer Oscar de la Renta showed a special collection at the Gala Moda Nextel 2013. Composed of some of the Pret-a-porter pieces he showed in NYC and beautiful vaporous couture gowns which took our breath away.

One of my favourite pieces

Pink&Mint

After the show Oscar de la Renta, impeccably dressed and saying " Que digan que estoy dormido y que me traigan aquí" (they should say that I'm asleep and bring me here) thanked Mexico for its warmth. He was joined on the catwalk by Peter Foyo-Nextel-director and Lisette Trepaud director from Nextel Fashion.

Stripes are a must have these season

Grand Final

There were almost 800 people that applaud him one of the most important Latino designers in contemporary fashion history ... it was an amazing event, enjoyed it very much and the only thing I have to say is that it was like a fairytale ..Bravo!

Nook México 2nd edition

8:58 AM Prueba 0 Comments

The pre-Columbian monumental and beautiful Fountain of Nezahualcóyotl in Chapultepec Park, held the second edition of NOOK, the new Mexican fashion platform in which the Mexican talents Kris Goyri, Mancandy and Rolando Santana presented their Fall/Winter 2013 collection.

Kansinskys abstract-linear theory and the work of Korean artist Sun K. Kwak inspired Kris Goyri to create a sensual, feminine, full of movement, fluid, classy and elegant collection made with fabrics like silk organza embroyed with metal details, transparencies and sequins.
I was really happy to see such a wonderful collection and I think these young designer wil have a great career.

Mancandy (Andres Jimenez) was inspired by industrial development and the Mega trend JUST. Using metalic fabrics, leather, wool, vinyl and denim made this collection a full of new and exotic silhouettes.
the model Cristina Piccone was also part of the event

Finally we saw the collection of Rolando Santana, who is currently succeeding in New York!
As the models came out, they reminded me of NYC high society in the early 50's and Audrey Hepburn.

A collection full of timeless pieces for the feminine, sophisticated, chic and elegant women.
The predominant colors were royal blue, eggplant purple, emerald green and brown. As the textures cellophane and raffia were the protagonists.

These event was amazing, so cool, fresh and really supporting fashion industry in Mexico.
It also reminds us to Paris, Milan or London fashion shows with memorable locations which make NOOK the most distinguished fashion events for the experience achieved through its iconic spaces.

With Mancandy (Andrés Jimenez)

Kris Goyri

Rolando Santana
I just can´t wait for next season!

Slumber Party 24/7

5:00 AM Prueba 0 Comments

Walking down the street in pajamas could be synonymous with bad taste and laziness, but now it's the ultimate example of glamor.
Pucci and Louis Vuitton are some of the maisons proponents of this trend!
I really like these for a day in the city maybe when you have a brunch or just want a confy look to go shopping!
The best about this outfit is that you can wear it day and night and always be comfortable, sophisticated and look spectacularly chic!

The guide to wear boots in spring

5:00 AM Prueba 0 Comments

Boots can be worn in spring in those cities where there is a temperate climate such as Mexico City. To make the transition from winter to spring can combine them with floral dresses or most colorful prints.

Dresses and tunics with long boots
I love these look ...confy ans sofisticated with the right accessories.

Ankle boots with dress or skirt
An unusual combination, but perfect for those days of sun and wind.

Boots with shorts
For a rocker and relax look.

Let's take our boots out for a walk these season!

Mega Trends!

5:30 AM Prueba 1 Comments

As I previous mentioned Manuel Vera gave a conference about Mega trends, those we'll sharply see this year and can use as inspiration to be the stars of street style.

The first one is called JUST
Industrial designers like Kenneth Grange strongly influence this trend.
Basics evolve to time- and genderless pieces!

Animalism in black and white (cheetah print, zebra, snake ... etc..), Knitwear and Jill Sanders degraded pieces will be the hottest these season.
Mustard, coral and purple together with graphic prints are needed!

Values are important here:
Simple Integrity
Rethinking the luxury
Moral Craft

Then comes MARVEL... the surreal style!
I would say it is madness centered on colorful sweet fantasy and retro forward.
We can use as inspiration David Bowie!
Holograms, iridescent fabrics and synthetic materials are a must in this trend and a pounch of color in your hair will be the utimate statement.

The next trend is called MIGRANTS
A trend in which the gang look of yesteryear becomes the star.
Materials:
Tweed and "rugged remain".

Last but not least comes one of my favourites.... OUTRÉ
Luxury Bling, velvet, Midas touch, decorative crochet, fur and feather clothes take over creating a pure "proud peacock" style

Choose, combine and adapt to your own style to be the next Street style star!
