Kiss Kiss Bang Bang

Hi guys I disappeared for a week because I got back to school and with work and other things I haven't had much time, but now I'm back to share more style with you.
Back to school always makes me nervous and entering high school is a huge step even more mysterious. (Yes you read well this is my first year in high school :) )
With a new class and teachers I wasn't quit sure of how my first day was going to turn out.
I was to anxious and had just been shopping few days ago, so...?
You know where I'm going...
The power of clothing is irreplaceable just like the power evocted by a pair of shoes, and I've discovered that if you are ever feeling insecure the best antidote is to wear new or your favourite clothes and accesories. Whether it is your first day at school, a job interview or a date, they'll make you feel better for sure.
A good fragrance is always a plus and I saved Flower In The Air by Kenzo for that special day!
The Tale of the Poppy Flower

What a magnificent flower the poppy.
Crimson red with a gold & black center sitting poisy in a green stem; a field of these is a wild bonfire of delight to our eyes.
However, this flower lacks of something... A scent.
Well, it was missing until Kenzo tought of this gorgeous blossom and made a revolutionary fragrance that gave her recognition.
With a bottle twice as high and no famous face to represent it everyone thought it would be a failure, but today Flower is still in the ranking of the top 10 fragrances in the world with it's delicious scent.
13 years later, Kenzo decided to push the boundaries and embrace freedom with Flower In The Air, a new dream full of poetry and a luscious aroma.
It is created by perfumer Alberto Morillas and made out of an artisanal rose, gardenia, magnolia and raspberry.
What else drives women CRAZY about a fragrance?
Yes, the bottle! Designer Serge Mansau decided to launch something entirely new by presenting a flower umbrela falling in a puddle of essence.
No doubt, that Flower In The Air is a delicate, fresh, distinctive & elegant fragrance for the ambitious dreamer who wants to make this world even more beautiful.
The launch took place at the roof top from the Distrito Capital Hotel, which had been nicely arrange full of poppys, champagne, treats, ballons floating over a cristal clear pool and the Kenzo fairy strolling through the place.
The Crown

Top hats or Pamelas of different materials, with feathers, ribbons, lace, flowers and the mystery, sexiness, luxury & elegance that surrounds them, made and still makes the carrier stand out from the crowd by wearing it with poise in the day or even at night as Saint Laurent proposes this season.
In this case efficiency was needed for me to find something gorgeous to arrive to a brunch at the Banyan Tree (really beautiful & fancy hotel) and comfortable to endure the one hour flight before that.
Lucky for me, my gorgeous cousin gave me this lovely dress that inmediately reminded me of my mum's pamela hat, which is basically one of those things you see in your mum's closet, try every single time you enter her dressing room and are waiting for the opportunity to borrow.
Finally it became a reality!
She let me wear it and it looked amazing together. Not super dressed down nor super dressed up but casual chic for a sunny day at the beach.
I was really excited when I got my invitation and get goose bumps just by remembering the party, fashion show and glamorous dinner. Of course wearing this head piece made the experience even better!
Bag Essentials

I carry way too much stuff because "What if I ever need it ?"
Magazines, camera, sunnies, books, umbrella, I throw everything inside, of course as I grow up the content has change, but still weights tons and people ask if I'm carrying stones.
That's why to avoid a problem in my column I decided to pick my absolute essentials!
Having to discard my "essentials" to find the most important ones is imposible, but one thing is certain: My phone is vital.

It invites people to tour the country and its history through contemporary and edgy prints in fine materials like silk, leather and silver.
Last wednesday at a nice little gathering in their boutique at Plaza Carso between champagne and delicious appetizers (the tuna was sublime hahaha) I had the opportunity to speak with the designer Ricardo CovalÃn and see a sneak peek of the new collection.
Ricardo told me that he designes for a confident, sofisticated woman who doesn't hesitate about what she wears and is very proud of her roots and culture.
Structures, frets, geometrics and the story of ancient mayan architecture in colaboration with the artists Deborah Lijtzain inspired the new collections, which can not only be carried by girls in purses, scarves and jewellery, but also by stylish men in very trendy slim & skinny ties.
Beauty Tips: Listerine Feet Wash & Exfoliation
12:58 PM Prueba 5 Comments
It is no miracle and the dead skin won't "practically wipe off" as said, but I would recommend it as a step before exfoliating.
You need:
1/4c Listerine
1/4c Vinegar
1/2c Warm Water.
Listerine contains Thymol and vinegar is acetic acid, both have antibacterial properties that will leave your feet fresh and clean.
Soak you feet for 10 minutes and when the time's up exfoliate.
And now I leave you an easy and quick brown sugar scrub recipe.
Sugar granules help exfoliate the skin without the dehydrating effect of salt.
Mix sugar with a little cream and apply in circular motions, let it sit for 5 minutes and rinse with warm water. Repeat this 3 times a week as part of your beauty routine to keep your skin smooth.
Wearable Art

And I'm not talking about the YSL collection inspired in Mondrian.
What's the difference between a 20$ dress and a 85.000$ Valentino gown?
What makes a pair of Loubouis, Manolos or Alaias so special?
Fashion lovers have no problem answering this questions.
For some of us is the time and effort invested to obtain such exclusive pieces, for others the love developed for each of these items, still some people think that our taste is a banal product of consumerism.
When I said I wanted to be a designer or magazine editor people did not understand why I loved "that material world", however I answered to the guy that wanted to be a chef that his love for food was the same as mine for fashion.
Extraordinary creations with the most luxurious and unusual materials walk down the runway 2 times a year under the signature of great artists.
Do you wear art?
What's your drug of choice?
